A daunting, intimidating journey: Self learning Web Development

(In hopes of connecting with some like-minded people)

I have been learning web development maybe since last year. In my self-learning journey, I had to wander here and there, looking for resources, articles, tutorials, and learning paths. Also being an introverted person, I am literally on my own and the most difficult part of this journey has been finding a community where I can fit in. All these helpless blahs aside, let's begin this article.

So I discovered WordPress maybe 3-4 years ago. I didn't know much about web programming back then, but I tried to follow some tutorials, but always struggled, mostly because of my lack of focused training. Most of the time I got in and out of the learning process. Back in the days of the first covid lockdown, I had so much time, so I started learning more and more, stuffs like HTML, CSS, python. These days I am learning JavaScript, a pint of React, and some WordPress. 

These days I believe I have entry-level skills to get into the Web Developer profession but I don't know how can I get hired in Nepal. Like I said before I don't know many people in this business and I find it difficult getting into a community.

Let's hope for the best and I will keep practicing. By the way, I discovered this platform when I had an idea of creating a Medium like platform for the Nepalese community( though I don't have the skills yet).
