How Can We Appreciate Downtime and Embrace Boredom: Is There Value in Embracing Boredom?

Actually, being bored and have nothing to do is great! sometimes, it is useful to know how precious the time we have.

I believe we should embrace that feeling, cause if you don’t, you will get burned out by doing nothing, sounds crazy, Hein! but it can happen. Believe me! Give yourself a break time to time, we all know it is quite hard but important to have a me time or quality time with yourself, or with the persons you love.

On the other hand, if you are now in the empty situation, you feel like in a black hole, nothing to do, everything looks and feels sucks and “not worth it”, embrace this feeling, and believe that you need to feel this, in order to enjoy your busy and full schedule later, you will understand the meaning of this time later, why you used to say “omg, i need rest, i wish i could take a loooong vacation”, but like us we ended up mission our busy schedules like fools. Honestly, I find it a pretty thing in people like us to feel so.

We, people are quite complex, that’s for sure. As students, we wish to become adults soon, and get into the “professional world”, as soon as we do that, either we want to retire and take a break or we wish to come back to our youngest age. Knowing that every age had made an impact of us, each era of us, define our character now, each experience, each time we felt bored, each time we felt happy, anger, shame, embarrassment. IT IS US.

SO JUST EMBRACE IT, AND KEEP GOING
