Yet another woman`s day|part 4|trends in Nepal

There are two boys and a girl is walking from the way.

They see this girl and one boys starts teasing a girl but the other boy likes her then

he says, ''Hey don't tease, she is your sister-in -law''.

I get really offended by such trend of respecting the girl in the name of sister, mother, sister-in-law or whatever, why the girl can't be respected as 'THE WOMAN'.

One example I want to give for this relation-based gender discrimination is that if a girl marries one well-off boy then she is tagged as''Golddigger'' but if the same boy searches for his own sister then he searches for well-off family, ignoring the fact that she might be tagged as the ''Golddigger'' for someone else( funny ).

I thought Gender discrimination was only so prevalent in the South Asian Nations but it wasn't, only the form was different.I once saw a video displaying some sexist comments female Hollywood celebrities were hit with. The level of questions male were asked was completely different from what women were asked. The questions only revolved around makeup, dress, relationships, rumors and one question was so offensive where the question read out ,''What's your favorite position?'', the celebrity handled it very wisely saying,''CEO''. Maybe I might have interest in makeup or dress or I might be more emotional than men but how is it connected to my ability, potential and bravery?, I am very confused.

Women empowerment is all about giving women choices, make them educated, aware them about their rights and their potential, make them economically active, politically active and legally strong enough to feel them empowered within and around. But the latest term of using word,'feminism' as fancy word is ruining what feminism is all about. They consider it as a weapon to bypass male and make women superior, which obviously isn't. I don't think that gives positive energy to anyone in the society. I read this somewhere and I totally believe in this,'' Women are created not to do everything a man does, women were created to do everything a man can't do.''
