'Jati padhe pani akhir arkako ghar jane jaat nai ta ho',k garnu chori ko karma yestai ho', chhori ko ijjat siyo ko tuppo ma huncha',jasko bhaisi usko ban jasko chora usko dhan' jati nai thulo manche vaye pani sriman ko agadi jhuknai parcha', these are some common sayings portraying what position women hold in the society. One of the most popular song of 2019, 'Galbandi', there is one saying widely used, 'khutta vaye jutta katti katti', that clearly manifests the respect we have in the society we live in, women are to be placed in the place, beneath the foot where men can easily suppress.
The word'respect' for men is quite different and spicy than the straight meaning of the word,'respect' it is to adopt any thing men say and accepts every word without objections and questions, else she is be the bad partner. But the one who wears the shoe don't get it that after the shoe is worn, it gets dirty and it gets the tag that,'this shoe is second-handed, already used by someone' and the girl is judged her character by how many users she has served to protect.
If anyone likes a girl in Nepal ,here are the tips that we get to learn from movies( because movies are the reflection of society), first you get details about the girl(her bio), keep bothering me in 'social medias' if I say 'No', that doesn't really mean no, I am just showing my tantrums because you must have heard a dialogue(ladki ki na mein hi haan hai),if I reject you love proposal then don't you cry, men don't cry, they make girl's cry okay? so you call a group of friends and make-up few stories about my character but don't you worry, all the questions and queries fall on me like,
what was the length of my cloth?
what was my way of living?
what was the time I used to arrive home?
How often and the number I get along the boys?
At last they will come to the conclusion, yes, I was giving you hints and was uncontrolled in the age because I am always the second positioned citizen in the society, right? Yes, there is still the remains of the Sati Pratha in Nepal in one form or other. When the news of the acid attack to one sister, Muskan Khatun, my mother suggested me not to speak to boys, I felt so disturbed I felt so horrible that I felt the cost of my beauty was just one easily available 'acid', wow! literally. They had attacked just because she rejected you love proposal and you were rejected?,she is just one girl studying in Class 9,bro , she don't know what to take for tiffin then how can she be capable of giving you life decisions?(terrible)... to be continued
